Let’s face it. There are thousands of web designer out there. Everyone from amateurs to professionals. How do you know what to look for in a web designer? Here are some things to consider:
- How long have they been designing web sites?
- How many web sites have they designed?
- Have they designed any sites that are similar to your industry?
- Do they have good references?
- Do they have a portfolio of previously designed sites?
- Are the designs professional?
- Is their site professional in appearance?
- Is their site written well? Is it sloppy, full of types, etc?
- How fast are they at getting back to your requests? If they are slow now, what will happen if they work on your projects?
- Do their prices fall within your budget?
- Do they also provide other services such as search engine optimization and web hosting? Sometimes it is better to have one company handle it all if you can.
You also need to take into account things that are applicable to your project. Taking this into account with some of the above can help you find the right web designer for your project.
